Es handelt sich um um eine original Zeichnung des Marine Propagandakompanie Malers Liebhart, um 1943. Sehr schöne Darstellung mit Ritterkreuz und Eichenlaub, im unteren Bereich die Künstlersignatur "R. Liebhart MPK", datiert "1943", handgemalt, auf der Rückseite befindet sich eine Signatur, diese ist durch das Papier zu erkennen, Maße der Zeichnung ca. 45 x 58 cm, neuzeitlich gerahmt. Zustand 2

Heinrich Liebe (* 29. Januar 1908 in Gotha; † 27. Juli 1997 in Eisenach) war ein deutscher Marineoffizier und U-Boot-Kommandant im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Auf neun Unternehmungen versenkte er 32 Schiffe mit 181.812 BRT.
Liebe trat am 5. April 1927 als Offiziersanwärter in die Reichsmarine ein, wo er am 11. Oktober 1927 zum Seekadetten ernannt wurde. Vom 29. März 1929 bis 29. März 1930 absolvierte Liebe an der Marineschule Mürwik einen Fähnrichslehrgang. Hier wurde er am 1. November 1929 zum Fähnrich zur See. Am 1. Oktober 1931 Beförderung zum Leutnant zur See. Nach einem Funklehrgang kam er am 6. April 1932 als 2. Funktechnischer Offizier auf das Linienschiff Schleswig-Holstein, wo er am 1. Oktober 1933 zum Oberleutnant zur See ernannt wurde. Am 1. April 1934 wurde Liebe Adjutant in der 1. Torpedoboots-Halbflottille und wechselte im September 1935 zur U-Boot-Waffe. Seinen U-Boots-Lehrgang absolvierte er vom 30. September 1935 bis 30. September 1936. Am 1. Oktober 1936 wurde er unter gleichzeitiger Ernennung zum Kapitänleutnant Kommandant des U-Bootes U 2 in der U-Schule und unterwies seinerseits neue U-Boot-Fahrer. Am 22. April 1938 avancierte er in dieser Position zum Kommandanten der Unterseebootsschule. Mitte August 1938 nahm er an der Baubelehrung für das im Bau befindliche U-Boot U 38 teil, zu dessen Kommandant er am 24. Oktober 1938 ernannt wurde.
Nach Ausbruch des Zweiten Weltkrieges wurde Liebe als Kommandant von U 38 zunächst mit Sicherungsfahrten im Nordatlantik sowie später in der Nordsee und an der norwegischen Nordküste betraut. In diesem Zusammenhang versenkte Liebe bis Ende 1939 auf zwei Feindfahrten fünf Schiffe. 1940 versenkte er auf fünf Feindfahrten weitere zwölf Schiffe, wofür er am 5. Juli 1940 im Wehrmachtbericht genannt wurde. Für seine weiterhin anhaltenden Versenkungen wurde ihm am 14. August 1940 das Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes verliehen. 1941 folgten weitere zwei Feindfahrten, auf denen Liebe erneut zehn Schiffe mit 64.039 BRT versenkte. Hierfür wurde er erneut zweimal im Wehrmachtbericht erwähnt sowie am 10. Juni 1941 mit dem Eichenlaub zum Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes geehrt. Nach seiner neunten und letzten Feindfahrt mit U 38 wurde Liebe von seinem Kommandantenposten entbunden, um ab 15. Juli 1941 im Oberkommando der Marine als Referent bei der Seekriegsleitung zu arbeiten. Diese Position hatte er bis August 1944 inne. In dieser Dienststellung erfolgte am 1. Dezember 1941 seine Beförderung zum Korvettenkapitän. Am 14. August 1944 wechselte Liebe als Referent in den Bereich des Befehlshaber der U-Boote, wo er in der Zentralabteilung tätig war. Während seiner dortigen Dienstzeit wurde Liebe am 17. September 1944 zum Fregattenkapitän ernannt. Seine Position behielt er anschließend bis zum 8. Mai 1945.

This silverware was in use in the Old Reich Chancellery as well as in German embassies abroad.

We were able to acquire a small remaining stock from U.S. war trophy items.

The canteen of the Reich Chancellery was under the direction of Arthur Kannenberg (* February 23, 1896 in Charlottenburg; † January 26, 1963 in Düsseldorf). Kannenberg was Adolf Hitler's house steward.
Kannenberg completed the Werdersche Oberrealschule in Berlin with his intermediate school certificate and began an apprenticeship in 1912 in his father Oskar Kannenberg's gastronomic business. From 1915 he served in Telegraph Battalion I and was discharged in 1918 as a Gefreiter (lance corporal). From 1924 he ran his father's businesses, the Restaurant Kannenberg, Hotel Stadt Berlin and the excursion restaurant Onkel Toms Hütte located in Grunewald, which went bankrupt in 1930.

As manager of Pfuhl's Wine and Beer Taverns, where well-known Nazi leaders such as Joseph Goebbels and Hermann Göring also frequented, he met Hitler, who offered him the management of the casino of the party headquarters Braunes Haus in München. He took up this position in 1931. Subsequently, he was also given management of the canteen of the NSDAP Reich Leadership School on Schwanthalerstraße.

After Hitler became Reich Chancellor in 1933, Kannenberg became house steward in the Reich Chancellery. In this capacity he organized the operations of the Führer's household. This included in particular the hiring of personnel, procurement of food and beverages and preparation of menus, but also the organization of catering at state receptions both in the Reich Chancellery and occasionally at the Berghof; during the war he then worked at the Führer Headquarters in the Wolfsschanze and finally in the bunker of the Reich Chancellery in Berlin.

In May 1945 he was interned by the Americans and released on July 25, 1946.
Many pieces from the Reich Chancellery were popular souvenirs of the occupation troops after the war's end, but many Berliners also refurnished their often bombed-out households with the remains of the Reich Chancellery.

S.M.S. Preussen was a pre-dreadnought battleship of the Braunschweig class of the Imperial German Navy.
Preußen served as flagship of the II. Squadron of the High Seas Fleet during World War I; first under Vice Admiral Reinhard Scheer, then under Rear Admiral Franz Mauve. She did not participate in the Battle of Jutland.

After the end of the war, the battleship was taken over by the Reichsmarine.

circa 1932. Large collar chain, manufactured in silver, reverse side gilded. The obverse embossed in relief with very fine representation: 2 crossed Hanoverian regimental standards, the flag leaves finely hand-engraved, in the center an oak leaf wreath with applied gilt cipher of Duke Ernst August “EA”, behind with crossed sabers, KGL shako, laurel and oak leaf sprays, with raised inscription “Hannoverscher Kriegerverein - Militärverein für Niedersachsen, e.V. Hannover”. Reverse with finest engraving “His Royal Highness Duke Ernst August of Brunswick and Lüneburg Protector of the Hanoverian State Veterans Association e.V. to the Association on the occasion of its 25th anniversary 1907 - 21.September - 1932”, hallmarked with crescent, crown, “800” and jeweler's mark “MEYER”. The original suspension chain also of 800 silver with corresponding hallmarks, width of collar chain 18.5 cm, height approx. 11 cm. Lightly worn, condition 2.
A very fine individual piece.

Porcelain pipe bowl artfully hand-painted, very fine representation: in the center a crowned dedication plaque with inscription: "Rit.v.Bülow G.C.R. - Cpt.Baring 1.l.Bt. - Lt.v.Uslar...(G.C.R.) - Cpt.Jacoby...(1.l.B.) - Lt.Baring 1.l.Bt. - Lt.Borchers...(1.l.B.) - Lt.v.Freytag...(1.l.B.) - Lt.Stakemann...(1.l.B.) - Lt.v.Linsingen...(1.l.B.) - Lt.Wuthmann...(1.l.B.) - Lt.Wedekind...(1.l.B.) - Lt.Gündell...(1.l.B.) to their friend Lt.Rochfort in remembrance", the plaque flanked on both sides by a cuirassier of the Garde Kürassier Regiment and a Jäger of the 1st Light Battalion, with landscape background. This is a cigarette case, crafted with high quality by hand by a German prisoner of war from a U.S. coffee tin for an American soldier (presumably guard personnel of the U.S. POW camp). The tin lid features beautifully hand-embossed swastika palm tree of the DAK with the inscription “1943 Afrika - Jim”. Dimensions approximately 7 x 9.5 cm. Condition 2.
A very fine unique piece. The German prisoner of war likely “earned” himself a few U.S. cigarettes with this.

The studio Selle & Kuntze was founded in Potsdam in 1870. After the death of Julius Adolph Paul Kuntze in 1905, the studio was continued by his daughter until 1927. The studio's clientele included the Imperial Court and many members of the nobility.

The pocket watch with silver case with gilt edges and enameled dial with small seconds, the lever escapement functional (no guarantee), on the dial the manufacturer “Longines”. The outer cover with the Imperial Crown and the cipher “W”, inside the cover the dedication “For 25 years of faithful service to Worker Karl Krüger Royal Projectile Factory in Spandau 16.11.16.”, engravings of the watchmaker, on the edge the number “
1157923”. The movement cover exterior with the applied semi-relief portrait of Kaiser Wilhelm II surrounded by oak leaves engraved into the cover and the Imperial Crown, interior with the silver content hallmark “0,800” as well as the “Auerhahn” hallmark, below that the Reich silver mark with the crescent moon and Imperial Crown, below that the number “3297511”. The movement with the manufacturer “Longines” and the number “3297511”, the case with the Auerhahn hallmark. Condition 2.

The spoon is made of silver-plated steel, the handle stamped on the reverse. Condition 2.

circa 1942. Chrome-plated body with black leatherette covering, blackened engravings. Top marked “Leica D.R.P. Ernst Leitz Wetzlar No. 279351” and the Kriegsmarine national eagle over “M”. Fully functional, complete with brown original leather case marked “Leica”. Lightly used, in good untouched original condition.
Military Leicas have always held a special fascination not only for military collectors. The vast majority of all Leica cameras manufactured during the war bore no Wehrmacht property markings and were also used by civilians. From 1942 onward, Leica produced exclusively for the Wehrmacht. Due to material shortages, later models were no longer chrome-plated but painted gray.
Cameras for the Kriegsmarine were purchased directly from Leitz company and the engraving of the Kriegsmarine national eagle over “M” was applied during production.

The guesthouse for the Reich Party Rallies was built in the years 1935/36 and was located directly next to the Grand Hotel at Bahnhofsplatz in Nuremberg and is today used as a hotel (Hotel Park Plaza). It hosted high-ranking invited guests of the Party from home and abroad during the Nuremberg Party Rallies until 1938; among others, Göring had a suite here.

On November 15, 1941, Eduard Wagner, Quartermaster General at the High Command of the Army, issued an order “concerning the establishment of a military unit from prisoners of war from Turkestan and Caucasian nationalities.” According to this directive, a Turkestani regiment under the command of Oberleutnant Taube was created within the German 444th Security Division.

In May 1942, the first “Turkestani Legion” was established; it initially consisted of only a single battalion. By the end of 1943, a total of 16 battalions were formed with an aggregate strength of approximately 16,000 soldiers. The troops were integrated into the 162nd Infantry Division. In mid-June 1943, Ernst-August Köstring was appointed Inspector of the Turkestani Legion and on January 1, 1944, was promoted to General of the Eastern Legions in the High Command of the Army. To preclude possible capture by the “Red Army,” the Turkestani Legion was transferred to France and Northern Italy. In 1945, the greater part of the Legion was taken prisoner by the British Army.

According to the agreement concluded at the Yalta Conference, the members of the Legion were repatriated to the Soviet Union, where they suffered the same fate as the other so-called “Eastern peoples” who had changed sides.

Zinnowitz is a Baltic Sea resort on the island of Usedom in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The town is the administrative seat of the Usedom-Nord office, which includes four other municipalities. Zinnowitz is the third-largest municipality on Usedom after Świnoujście in Poland and Heringsdorf.

The frame contains a portrait photograph of Duke Ernst August (III.) of Hanover in the uniform of a hussar of the Braunschweigisches Husaren-Regiment Nr. 17, with large original signature of the Duke dated "16. Mai 1917", lower right with the mark of the photo studio "Adele (Förster) Wien I Graben u. Ischl". The portrait in a silver frame of finest peacetime quality, on the underside with silver hallmark crescent moon and crown as well as silver content "800" and maker "F. Siebrecht" and number "67010". Mounted on top of the frame is the crowned cipher "EA", the crown executed in gold, the cipher decorated with rubies and diamonds. The back cover in wine-red morocco leather, with stand. Frame dimensions 20.2 x 29 cm. In original case, interior lined with violet velvet and silk, the lid with gold-stamped jeweler's mark "F. Siebrecht Hof-Juwelier Braunschweig". Case dimensions 25.5 x 34.5 cm. Condition 2.

This gift picture frame represents a highly exquisite work, probably manufactured before the outbreak of war in 1914. Given this quality and costliness, the recipient of this piece could only have been a very high-ranking personality.

Ernst August (III.) was the last reigning Duke of the Duchy of Brunswick from 1913 until his abdication in 1918 and the last reigning monarch of the House of Hanover. During World War I he was promoted to Major General and served in the General Command of the X. Armee-Korps to which the Braunschweigisches Husaren-Regiment Nr. 17 also belonged.

The photograph was made by the photo studio "Adèle" in Vienna, which was famous for its portrait photographs and also worked for the Imperial and Royal Court.

The jeweler "F. Siebrecht" in Brunswick is also well known and manufactured, among other things, decorations for the Duchy of Brunswick.

The Iserlohn tobacco boxes from Iserlohn and surrounding areas were a specialized form of local brass goods manufacturing. They reached the height of their significance in the 18th century and particularly within the framework of Prussian war propaganda during the Seven Years' War. Since the 17th century, the production of brass products existed in Iserlohn and the immediate vicinity. This included the manufacture of tobacco boxes. Initially, they were still oriented toward models from the Netherlands.

The boxes were initially hand-engraved as expensive individual pieces, before the stamping technique with steel dies prevailed from 1754 onward, which led to the production of larger quantities. This technical innovation resulted in the hand-manufactured tobacco boxes from the Netherlands being displaced from the market. The body frequently consisted of copper, while the lid was made of brass. One of the first to manufacture tobacco boxes in this manner was the engraver Johann Heinrich Giese (1716–1761). Frederick II granted him a monopoly for this in 1755. Later manufacturers are identifiable through signatures on the products.

The motifs of the boxes were diverse. There were boxes with biblical scenes, images from hunting or social life. Views of cities and much more were embossed. Especially during the Seven Years' War, military and battle scenes were depicted. With this, the producers responded to the hitherto unusually strong patriotic sentiment and veneration for Frederick II in Prussia and beyond. Above all, the victories of the Prussians in various battles were depicted. The relatively inexpensive boxes found mass distribution not only in Prussia, but throughout the northwest of the German Empire extending into the Netherlands. In the further course of the 18th century, the production of tobacco boxes declined. The last documented box was manufactured in 1777.

The ribbon of the War Commemorative Medal of 1864 in the 3.5 cm wide version for battalion colors, both sides with riveted crossed swords, at the lower end with black/silver tassel of metal thread, overall length approx. 62.5 cm. Typical wear and age signs, condition 2.

Remnants of Prussian colors are extremely rare, as these were predominantly taken to the Soviet Union after World War II and for the most part destroyed.

Wehrmacht finials are very rarely found. Most Wehrmacht standards were captured by the Red Army in May 1945. Many finials were heavily damaged or broken during the parade on Red Square and the throwing down of the standards before the Kremlin wall.

The Marine-Küsten-Polizei (MKP) was a security force of the German Kriegsmarine for surveillance of coastal approaches, river estuaries, rivers and navigable inland lakes. It performed duties of water protection, border security and traffic control.

During World War II, the Sicherheitsdienst (SD) conducted the largest counterfeiting operation in the world: The objective of “Operation Bernhard” was to circulate large quantities of counterfeit British currency and thereby damage the value of the British Pound. The resulting weakening of the economy would have led to, among other consequences, a decline in British war production. Shortly after the outbreak of war, a counterfeiting workshop was established in the facilities of the Reichssicherheitshauptamt (RSHA). Hitler, who personally approved the operation, recommended focusing first on pound notes from the “Bank of England.” The name “Operation Bernhard” derives from its director, SS-Sturmbannführer Bernhard Krüger. The operation was strictly classified; not even rumors about the counterfeit money were permitted to reach Great Britain. The slightest indication of German plans would have doomed the operation before it even began. For this reason, the Germans utilized forced laborers. They systematically searched among Jewish prisoners for skilled workers in printing technology, graphic artists, engravers, and paper specialists, and brought them along with equipment to Sachsenhausen concentration camp. There, barracks 18 and 19 served as the counterfeiting workshop from 1942 onward. To prevent other prisoners at Sachsenhausen from learning about the operation, the two barracks were separated from the rest of the camp by high fences. The 144 prisoners working there counterfeited banknotes in denominations of 5, 10, 20, and 50 Pounds Sterling. The forgeries were sometimes of such exceptionally high quality that even employees of the “Bank of England” could not detect them. The Jewish counterfeiters received better treatment than their fellow prisoners in the rest of the camp. For example, they could move freely within the cordoned area, received more food, could wear normal clothing, and were allowed to grow their hair. In total, currency valued at approximately 132 million pounds was printed. The quality varied considerably: from Class A notes that were accepted even by the Bank of England, to Class C notes intended for dropping over England. Since infiltrating these notes into the economic system through official channels was inconceivable, the hope was that money collected by people would be spent in small amounts. The original plan to flood England with massive quantities of counterfeit money was ultimately not implemented; only a few notes entered circulation. This was also due to the fact that the forced laborers secretly delayed production and delivery. To conceal the operation at war's end, the equipment and many thousands of counterfeit notes were sunk in Austria's Toplitzsee. “Operation Bernhard” remained largely unknown for many years after the war's end. As part of destroying the equipment, the prisoners were also to be murdered. Fortunately for the prisoners, it did not come to that, and they were liberated along with the rest of the camp on May 6, 1945, by American troops. The Allies became aware of the operation primarily through the liberated prisoners. As a precautionary measure, the Bank of England therefore recalled all pound notes of five pounds and above in circulation, destroyed them, and eventually issued new notes. Only with the partial recovery of printing plates and counterfeits from Toplitzsee beginning in 1959 did the operation become known to the public.

The drawing in original matting, dimensions 48 x 63.5 cm, with old inscription at the lower margin “Original signature of the aviator M. Immelmann (+ Summer 1916)!”, further to the right inscribed “Druck 4 ! Oskar G..”. Condition 2.
The portrait drawing and signature were created in March 1916, only 3 months before Max Immelmann's death in aerial combat.
Artistically excellent work and historically significant, this portrait drawing was likely intended as a template for patriotic prints or postcards. 

Max Franz Immelmann (* September 21, 1890 in Dresden; † June 18, 1916 near Annay, Département Pas-de-Calais, France) was, alongside Oswald Boelcke and Manfred von Richthofen, among the most successful and famous German fighter pilots of World War I. His success in aerial combat earned him the nickname “Eagle of Lille” among his adversaries. He received Prussia's highest decoration for bravery — the Order Pour le Mérite.

The guesthouse for the Reich Party Rallies was constructed in 1935/36 and was located directly next to the Grand Hotel at Bahnhofsplatz in Nuremberg and is today used as a hotel (Hotel Park Plaza). It accommodated high-ranking invited guests of the Party from domestic and foreign countries during the Nuremberg Party Rallies until 1938; among others, Göring maintained a suite here.

The canteen of the Reich Chancellery was under the direction of Arthur Kannenberg (* February 23, 1896 in Charlottenburg; † January 26, 1963 in Düsseldorf). Kannenberg was Adolf Hitler's House Intendant. Kannenberg graduated from the Werdersche Oberrealschule in Berlin with a secondary school diploma and began an apprenticeship in 1912 in his father Oskar Kannenberg's gastronomic business. From 1915 he served in Telegraph Battalion I and was discharged in 1918 as a Gefreiter (lance corporal). From 1924 he ran his father's establishments, the Restaurant Kannenberg, Hotel Stadt Berlin and the excursion restaurant Onkel Toms Hütte located in Grunewald, which went bankrupt in 1930.

As manager of Pfuhl's Wine and Beer Taverns, where well-known Nazi leaders such as Joseph Goebbels and Hermann Göring also frequented, he met Hitler, who offered him the management of the casino of the party headquarters Braunes Haus in Munich. He took up this position in 1931. Subsequently, he was also given management of the canteen of the NSDAP Reich Leadership School on Schwanthalerstraße.

After Hitler became Reich Chancellor in 1933, Kannenberg became House Intendant in the Reich Chancellery. In this role, he organized the operations of the Führer's household. This included in particular the hiring of personnel, procurement of food and beverages and preparation of menus, but also the organization of catering at state receptions both in the Reich Chancellery and occasionally at the Berghof; during the war he was then active at the Führer Headquarters in the Wolfsschanze and finally in the bunker of the Reich Chancellery in Berlin.

In May 1945 he was interned by the Americans and released on July 25, 1946.
Many pieces from the Reich Chancellery were popular souvenirs of the occupation troops after the war's end, but many Berliners also restocked their often bombed-out households with the remains of the Reich Chancellery.

Bandolier with silver braid on police-green cloth backing, aluminum fittings, cartridge box of black leather with applied aluminum police eagle. 

Leather approximately 130x100x20 mm, the closure flap with embossed emblem of the Saargruben: the Prussian eagle with swastika above the inscription “Saargruben” and crossed hammer and pick surrounded by the designation Saargruben-Verwaltung Saarbrücken.

circa 1935. Light green silk with three-sided silver fringe trim. On both sides a large upright white silk swastika, in the center the Prussian eagle displayed with sword and three lightning bolts in its talons, above it a light green banderole "Pro Gloria et Patria". In the 4 corners each a silver embroidered flaming grenade in the Prussian style. Below the swastika on both sides embroidered the "Southern Cross" as a tradition badge of the police in reference to the former Schutztruppe in the colonies. The flag is somewhat faded on the side flying to the right with a few minor damages, however the side flying to the left is still very fresh in color, dimensions 140 x 110 cm. On the side of the sleeve with hand-embroidered designation of the Hamburg company "Fahnen-Fleck No. 1". Overall in good condition.

In September 1933, Prussian Minister President Hermann Göring presented eight flags of this type to the "Landespolizeigruppe Wecke z.b.V.", a special unit of almost military character created by him, which received the traditional light green branch color of the Berlin Garde Jäger/Schützen. In December 1933 it was renamed "Landespolizeigruppe General Göring", then in April 1935, after its transfer to the Luftwaffe, to "Regiment General Göring". Among others, the 1st Bn. Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 1 and the guard company at Carinhall continued to carry the flags.

PRINTZ HEINRICHS WAFFEN SIND / BEY FREYBERG SO BEGLUCKT / DASZ MAN DADURCH AUCH NUN / DEN FRIEDEN BALD ERBLICKT", with signature "Keppelman", reverse side shows angel of peace with trumpet and laurel wreath, beside it the coat of arms of Russia; center: Three rulers joining hands. On the left the Russian, in the center the Prussian, on the right the Swedish ruler. Between Prussia and Sweden the Prussian coat of arms, to their right the Swedish coat of arms, with signature "IAKM", width 14.5 cm, height 3.1 cm, typical signs of age and use, condition 2. Very rare.

The Iserlohn tobacco boxes from Iserlohn and surrounding areas were a specialized form of local brass goods manufacturing. They reached the peak of their significance in the 18th century and particularly in the context of Prussian war propaganda during the Seven Years' War. Since the 17th century, the production of brass products existed in Iserlohn and the surrounding area. This includes the manufacture of tobacco boxes. Initially, they were still modeled after examples from the Netherlands.

The boxes were initially hand-engraved as expensive individual pieces, before the stamping technique with steel dies became established from 1754 onwards, which led to the production of larger quantities. This technical innovation resulted in the continued hand-made tobacco boxes from the Netherlands being displaced from the market. The body was often made of copper, while the lid was made of brass. Among the first, the engraver Johann Heinrich Giese (1716–1761) manufactured tobacco boxes in this manner. Friedrich II granted him a monopoly for this in 1755. Later manufacturers are identifiable by signatures on the products.

The motifs on the boxes were diverse. There were boxes with biblical scenes, images of hunting or from social life. Views of cities and much more were embossed. Especially during the Seven Years' War, war and battle scenes were depicted. Thus the producers responded to the hitherto unusually strong patriotic sentiment and veneration for Friedrich II in Prussia and beyond. Above all, the victories of the Prussians in various battles were depicted. The relatively inexpensive boxes found mass sales not only in Prussia, but throughout the northwest of the German Reich extending into the Netherlands. In the further course of the 18th century, the production of tobacco boxes declined. The last documented box was manufactured in 1777.

Large bronze medal, diameter 59 mm, obverse with portrait of the King, reverse inscribed “In Memory of the Admission of His Majesty King George V into the Freemasons' Order, January 14, 1857”. Condition 2+.
King George V was admitted on January 14, 1857 in the Lodge “Zum schwarzen Bär” in Hannover as a Freemason for all lodges of the Kingdom. He soon assumed the office of Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of the Kingdom of Hanover. Die engraver Brehmer, excellent condition

Circa 1900. Circular picture frame made of brass with dragon ornamentation, reverse side with removable cover for inserting a photograph and suspension device. Diameter approximately 24.5 cm. Condition 2.

This is a typical accessory as acquired by members of the Imperial Navy and the East Asian Occupation Brigade and brought back to the homeland.

The gorget made of aluminum. The plate polished, the applied RAD emblem and the bandeau “Streifendienst” in matte finish with polished edges. Reverse with RAD olive-brown cloth backing. Complete with the special neck suspension chain made of aluminum. Condition 2+.

Exceptional aluminum construction. Unlike the 1st Model, the 2nd Model features decorative side buttons. Reverse with green “Kaliko” linen backing, suspension clip marked with maker “C.E. Juncker Berlin”, complete with original suspension chain. Unworn, in mint condition!

Extremely rare, in over 35 years of business this is the first example we have offered, only very few examples are known worldwide.

Wine-red leather folder, 22 x 32 cm, lined inside with light silk, containing a parchment sheet (left side cut off), handwritten “Honorary Citizenship Certificate - On the occasion of the memorable liberation of our Sudeten German homeland and the associated occupation by the SS-Standarte ‘Deutschland’, the municipality of Deschenitz has, in grateful remembrance, appointed Mr. Fritz Witt, SS-Hauptsturmführer, as honorary citizen - Deschenitz, Böhmerwald, Bavarian Ostmark, November 9, 1938” with signatures of the mayor and the local group leader of the Sudeten German Party. Unfortunately, the left side of the parchment sheet was cut off after 1945, otherwise condition 2.
Includes the personal confirmation by his son Peter Witt from 2012.

The honorary citizenship certificate comes directly from the family estate and was sold by the son several years ago.

Fritz Witt joined the “SS-Stabswache Berlin” in March 1933 as one of the first 120 volunteers. As SS-Untersturmführer, he became platoon leader in the 2nd Sturm of the Leibstandarte and in 1935 company commander in München. As commander of the 3rd Company of SS-Standarte “Deutschland”, he participated in the Polish Campaign and the Western Campaign. On the evening of May 27, his battalion was attacked from the direction of Eftaires by 20 British tanks. The battalion succeeded in destroying nine tanks without anti-tank weapons; the rest withdrew. For the achievements and successes of his battalion, he was awarded the Knight's Cross on September 4, 1940. In October 1940, he took command of the III. Battalion of the Standarte. He led this successfully during the Balkan Campaign. Heavy fighting occurred at Klidi Pass and Klisura Pass. From June 1941, he was deployed in Russia; on February 8, 1942, he was awarded the German Cross in Gold. In June 1942, he was tasked with establishing SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 1, becoming its commander in January 1943. For his exceptional achievements during the battles at Kharkov and between the Donets and Dnieper, he was awarded the Oak Leaves on March 1, 1943. At that time, he held the rank of SS-Standartenführer. In July 1943, he undertook the formation of the 12th SS-Panzer-Division “Hitlerjugend”; on July 1, 1943, he was promoted to SS-Oberführer. Promoted to SS-Brigadeführer and Major General of the Waffen-SS on January 30, 1944, he commanded the division during defensive operations in Normandy in June 1944. On June 14, 1944, he was killed during shelling of his command post.

The canteen of the Reich Chancellery was under the direction of Arthur Kannenberg (born February 23, 1896 in Charlottenburg; died January 26, 1963 in Düsseldorf). Kannenberg was Adolf Hitler's house steward. Kannenberg graduated from the Werdersche Oberrealschule in Berlin with intermediate school certification and began an apprenticeship in 1912 in his father Oskar Kannenberg's restaurant business. From 1915 he served in Telegraph Battalion I and was discharged as a Private First Class in 1918. From 1924 he managed his father's businesses, the Restaurant Kannenberg, Hotel Stadt Berlin and the excursion restaurant Onkel Toms Hütte located in Grunewald, which went bankrupt in 1930. As manager of Pfuhl's Wine and Beer Taverns, where prominent Nazi figures such as Joseph Goebbels and Hermann Göring frequented, he met Hitler, who offered him the management of the casino at the party headquarters Braunes Haus in Munich. He took up this position in 1931. Subsequently, he was also given management of the canteen of the NSDAP Reich Leadership School on Schwanthaler Strasse. After Hitler became Reich Chancellor in 1933, Kannenberg became house steward in the Reich Chancellery. He organized the operation of the Führer's household. This included in particular the hiring of personnel, procurement of food and beverages, and preparation of menus, but also organizing catering at state receptions both in the Reich Chancellery and occasionally at the Berghof; during the war he then worked at the Führer Headquarters in the Wolfsschanze and finally in the bunker of the Reich Chancellery in Berlin. In May 1945 he was interned by the Americans and released on July 25, 1946.
Many pieces from the Reich Chancellery were popular souvenirs of the occupation troops after the war's end, but many Berliners also restocked their often bombed-out households with the remains of the Reich Chancellery.

SS Schloss Friedenthal was the headquarters of SS Sonderverband z.b.V. Friedenthal under the command of the legendary SS-Obersturmbannführer Otto Skorzeny (who became famous through Operation “Eiche” (Oak), the liberation of Mussolini on September 12, 1943). The castle was the site of planning and training for SS commando operations. The castle was located in Oranienburg near the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and was destroyed on April 10, 1945 by a targeted U.S. bombing raid. One of the very few pieces that survived the war.

The company founder was Friedrich Heinrich Flottmann (1844–1899), who in 1872 acquired an existing brass foundry and metal turning shop in Bochum and continued it under the firm name MetallgieÃerei H. Flottmann.[1] After his death, his widow Emilie Flottmann (1852–1933) continued the business. The eldest son Otto Heinrich Flottmann (1875–1944) received the Imperial Patent in 1904 for the “compressed air percussion drill with ball control and automatic conversion,” which among other things revolutionized Ruhr coal mining. Otto Heinrich Flottmann relocated the plant to Herne due to lack of expansion possibilities at the original location.

Hans Joachim von Zieten, also known as Zieten aus dem Busch (born May 14, 1699 in Wustrau; died January 27, 1786 in Berlin) was one of the most famous cavalry generals in Prussian history and a close confidant of King Friedrich the Great. He owed his fame in part to his extraordinary successes in the Silesian Wars. Long after his death, he continued to enjoy high esteem and his life and work were frequently commemorated.

Karl Ludwig Rudolf Janssen (born May 29, 1855 in Düsseldorf; died December 2, 1927 ibid.) was a German sculptor. From 1872 to 1880 he studied at the Royal Prussian Academy of Arts in Düsseldorf. In 1884 he was commissioned to create the sculpture Vater Rhein und seine Töchter for the visit of Kaiser Wilhelm I to Düsseldorf, which pleased the people of Düsseldorf so much that twelve years later—in 1897—he was commissioned to produce a permanent bronze version as a fountain. One year earlier, he had successfully completed a commission for a representative equestrian statue of Kaiser Wilhelm.

A very fine work! Due to its size and execution as a freestanding sculpture, it can be assumed that the piece was originally placed in a prominent location, such as a palace or barracks.
