Franz Ritter von Hörauf (1878-1957) Officer in World War I and in the Reichswehr, member of the NSDAP from the late 1920s, leader of SA schools around 1931, belonged to the "Supreme SA Leadership". Von Hörauf was among other things a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Bavarian Military Max Joseph Order, which was associated with elevation to personal nobility. During World War II served as Wehrmacht Generalmajor, transferred to Führer Reserve in January 1943.
