Waffen-SS Single Collar Tab for an SS-Unterführer of the 22nd SS Volunteer Cavalry Division "Maria Theresia"

RZM metal thread hand-embroidered construction, heavily worn, embroidery oxidized, condition 2-. Extremely rare.

The 22nd SS Volunteer Cavalry Division was formed on April 29, 1944, from Hungarian “volunteers” and ethnic Germans from Hungary. Initially it consisted of only two cavalry regiments; later a third regiment from the 8th SS Cavalry Division “Florian Geyer” was added. Basic training continued until August 1944, after which the division was transferred to the area of Army Group Südukraine. In October 1944, the division saw action as part of the 6th Army in heavy defensive combat. The Red Army, advancing into Hungary from the east and south, finally encircled the division after heavy fighting on Christmas Eve 1944 in the capital Budapest.

The division was largely destroyed during the fall of Budapest in February 1945. The remnants of the division were used to form the 37th SS Volunteer Cavalry Division.

In early February 1945, as the battle for Budapest came to an end, only a few soldiers of the 22nd SS Volunteer Cavalry Division were able to break through to the west.

In summer 2017, a small remaining stock of cufftitles was discovered near the Grafenwöhr Training Area at a cobbler's shop, who had used the cufftitles as boot straps. We were able to purchase the lot. Besides the "Wallonien" cufftitles, there were also some "Wiking", "Nederland", and "Osttürkischer Waffenverband der SS" cufftitles, totaling approximately 80 pieces. Prior to this discovery, the "Wallonien" cufftitle was one of the rarest divisional cufftitles of the Waffen-SS.

The Schutzmannschaft (= Schuma) was an auxiliary police unit composed of local inhabitants from the occupied territories of Eastern Europe. The difference from the similar Ordnungsdienst was that they were established in areas under civilian administration and were integrated into the command structure of the SS/Orpo.
In the formerly Polish territories in the west of the Soviet Union as well as the former Baltic states, these units received considerable enrollment. At the end of July 1941, the Schutzmannschaften were expanded by ReichsführerSS Heinrich Himmler into a significant instrument of German violent rule in Eastern Europe. By the end of 1942, the Schumas reached a strength of approximately 300,000 men, organized in units up to battalion strength. They were deployed for guarding concentration camps or actively participated in the so-called anti-partisan operations.

SD/Schutzmannschaft Single Shoulder Board for Enlisted Men of the Schutzpolizei

Black shoulder boards, machine-embroidered swastikas, green piping all around, with loops. Unworn, condition 2+.
The Schutzmannschaft (= Schuma) was an auxiliary police unit composed of natives from the occupied territories of Eastern Europe. The difference from the similar Ordnungsdienst was that they were established in areas under civil administration and were integrated into the command structure of the SS/Orpo. In the formerly Polish territories in the west of the Soviet Union as well as the former Baltic states, these units received large numbers of recruits. At the end of July 1941, the Schutzmannschaften were expanded by Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler into a significant instrument of German rule by force in Eastern Europe. By the end of 1942, the Schumas reached a strength of approximately 300,000 men, organized in units up to battalion strength. They were deployed to guard concentration camps or actively participated in the so-called anti-partisan operations.

Waffen-SS Single Collar Tab for Officers of the 20th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (Estonian No. 1)

The metal insignia 2nd model “E” above the knight's arm with sword is a ground-recovered find, with 4 prongs on reverse. Included is a worn single collar tab for officers without emblem, condition 3.
Extremely rare. In over 35 years of business, this is the 1st Estonian collar tab with metal insignia that we have been able to offer!

The 20th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (Estonian No. 1) was a grenadier division of the Waffen-SS. A large portion of the troops and officers consisted of Estonian volunteers and Estonians conscripted for military service.
From October 1942 to May 1943, the Estonian Legion had already existed, which was converted into the 3rd Estonian SS Volunteer Brigade on May 5, 1943. On May 26, 1944, it received the designation 20th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (Estonian No. 1). As early as February 1944, the division was deployed at the Narva. During the breakthrough of the Red Army in the Sillamäe sector, the 20th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS was also severely weakened and ultimately destroyed.

On October 6, 1944, the reconstitution took place in Neuhammer, Silesia. Until January 1945, units of the division fought in East Prussia. When the Soviet major offensive began in January 1945, the division was relocated to Silesia, where it was subordinated as a battle group to the 17th Army.

The withdrawal in February 1945 extended into the Striegau area, where parts of the division with the divisional staff were encircled by Soviet forces in the Neustadt O.S. region. SS Volunteer Grenadier Regiment 46 (Estonian No. 2) came to the aid of the encircled troops and fought its way through to free some battle groups and the divisional staff from the pocket. During this action, Division Commander Franz Augsberger was killed. Until the arrival of his successor Berthold Maack, Alfons Rebane temporarily assumed command of the division as acting commander. The battle groups that broke out fought their way through to Bohemia with the loss of all heavy weapons, where they entered Soviet captivity on May 11, 1945, near Mělník, northeast of Prague. Parts of the division succeeded in escaping westward into American captivity.

The 11. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Division “Nordland” was a panzergrenadier division of the Waffen-SS. The division was primarily deployed on the Eastern Front until it surrendered to the Allies at the Elbe in May 1945. It was partly composed of Danes, but also of Volksdeutsche from Croatia.
On May 6, 1943, the remnants of Regiment Danmark were reformed into the newly established SS-Division Nordland, and in November 1943 the division was supplemented with so-called “Volksdeutsche” during its deployment in Croatia. In autumn 1943, the division was initially deployed under III. (germanisches) SS-Panzerkorps for anti-partisan operations in Croatia, then transferred to the Narva Front in winter 1943/44. Finally, it participated in the defense of Berlin, where it was destroyed in combat operations around the government quarter. After Hitler's suicide, only a few groups managed to break out of Berlin. Germanic SS in the Netherlands: Cuff Title “Landwacht”

The cuff title “Landwacht” is of Dutch manufacture, hand-embroidered with metal thread on black grosgrain ribbon, bordered top and bottom with silver braid. Removed from the uniform, still sewn together, clearly worn, condition 2. Extremely rare.
The Landwacht Nederland  was a Dutch paramilitary organization founded on November 12, 1943. Kees van Geelkerken, the second man in the NSB, was appointed General Inspector of the Landwacht by Seyss-Inquart in November 1943. The headquarters of the Landwacht was located in Villa Bloemheuvel at Hoofdstraat 23-25 in Driebergen.
Although the Landwacht consisted of members of the NSB, the leader of the Landwacht was not the leader of the NSB (Anton Mussert), but rather SS-Police Chief Hanns Albin Rauter.

The Landwacht was first sighted on the streets in March 1944. It served primarily for guarding buildings, checking identity cards, and conducting arrests, searches, and inspections.
Members of the Landwacht wore the black uniforms of the Germanic SS in the Netherlands, collar tabs and shoulder straps following the German model, as well as cuff title.

Allgemeine SS: Pair of Shoulder Boards as Prototype/Reference Sample for the Future Evening Dress Uniform for SS-Ehrenführer

Both shoulder boards made of light gray cloth with embossed (!) silver-plated metal appliqués consisting of national eagle over SS runes, the shoulder boards with surrounding silver metal border. The attached shoulder buttons also specially designed with depiction of the SS death's head 1st model. All metal appliqués attached with clasps, on the reverse the split pins are inserted through the cloth. On the reverse handwritten marked "11" and "12", with adhesive residue. The shoulder boards were intended to be sewn in. Both pieces with light patina in very good condition.
Based on the light gray cloth base, we assume that this version was intended for the SS-Ehrenführer, matching the cuff title.

We already had in 2011 two additional individual shoulder boards with the same design, however hand-embroidered in metal thread. At that time with an old color photograph and the offer letter from the well-known U.S. militaria dealer Mohawk Arms/Ray Zyla from 1971. One of these shoulder boards is also illustrated in the reference book by Andrew Mollo “Uniforms of the SS”. Of the greatest rarity!

Germanic SS in the Netherlands: Cuff Title “Landwacht”

The cuff title “Landwacht” is of Dutch manufacture, hand-embroidered in metal thread on black ribbed band, with embroidered piping at top and bottom. Removed from uniform, length 38 cm, condition 2.

Although the Landwacht consisted of members of the NSB, the leader of the Landwacht was not the leader of the NSB (Anton Mussert), but rather SS and Police Chief Hanns Albin Rauter.

The Landwacht was first sighted on the streets in March 1944. It served primarily for guarding buildings, checking identity cards, and conducting arrests, searches, and inspections. Members of the Landwacht wore the black uniforms of the Germanic SS in the Netherlands, collar patches and shoulder straps in the German style, as well as cuff titles.

SD/Schutzmannschaft Overseas Cap Insignia for Enlisted Men

Bullion woven execution, for M 43 Field Cap. Unissued.

The Schutzmannschaft (= Schuma) was an auxiliary police unit composed of indigenous personnel from the occupied territories of Eastern Europe. They were deployed for guarding concentration camps or they actively participated in the so-called “anti-bandit operations.”

Members of the Landwacht wore the black uniforms of the Germanic SS in the Netherlands, collar tabs and shoulder boards in the German style, as well as sleeve bands.
