We assume that this prototype was intended as the Luftwaffe Ground Combat Badge in Gold for additional days of close combat, comparable to the Close Combat Clasp in Gold.

Luftwaffe Golden Front Flying Clasp Pendant with Diamonds for "2000" Enemy Sorties

This is certainly an excellent jeweler's custom piece made of genuine gold, with individually set numerals "2000" adorned with genuine diamonds, and hand-engraved laurel leaves on the sides. Only slight signs of age, condition 2.
The only known recipient of a "2000" pendant clasp in gold with diamonds was Oberst Rudel. His decorations remain in family possession to this day. 
We were able to acquire this piece from an old German collection, unfortunately without further documentation. Perhaps a presentation sample or a piece intended for another award?

Jagdgeschwader 134 (JG 134) “Horst Wessel” was established on January 4, 1936 in Döberitz, honorary name “Horst Wessel” awarded on March 24, 1936. Later redesignated as Zerstörergeschwader 26.
Theodor Sanders was an SA member from Hamburg who fell victim to a communist attack on January 15, 1935.
Appendix includes scans regarding Ralph Baberadt and the plaque from the book “Jagdgeschwader Horst Wessel”, Zentralverlag der NSDAP 1938.

Silver medallion depicting the Parachutist Badge, reverse side with motto “Treue um Treue” (Loyalty for Loyalty) and maker's mark of the jeweler in Mailand “800”, complete with silver necklace chain, condition 2. Additionally, a large wedding photograph showing the man as a Feldwebel wearing the Parachutist Badge, Iron Cross 2nd Class, and Wound Badge, plus another portrait photograph of the wearer (likely taken in peacetime) as an airman with newly awarded Parachutist Badge.

As thanks for the rescue of the art treasures of the Monte Cassino monastery before it was bombed by the Americans, Abbot Gregorio Diamare presented the 1st Fallschirmjäger Division with, among other things, a small donation of silver. From this, the loyalty chains were created.
Included is a photocopy of an award certificate, signed “Schulz, Oberst und Divisionsführer Div.-Gef.-Stand”.

Latvian manufacture, circa 1944. Large pin-back badge, height 50 mm, design: oval oak leaf wreath with swastika, in the center Luftwaffe eagle above enameled coat of arms shield “Litvija - NSG 12”, below with attached clasp “50”, reverse with horizontal pin, the wreath with jeweler's hallmark and “93”. Worn condition, condition grade 2. Extremely rare.

Nachtschlachtgruppe 12 (Latvian) was scheduled to be established on November 15, 1943 from Latvian volunteers. The formation was delayed until March 1944. In March 1944, the 1st Staffel was established in Libau and equipped with the Arado Ar 66. From late March 1944, the Staffel was deployed with Luftflotte 1. The 2nd Staffel was established at the end of June 1944 and also deployed with Luftflotte 1. In July 1944, the 3rd Staffel was established in Libau. On October 17, 1944, the Gruppe was disbanded.

Sergeant and pilot in the Spanish Civil War with A/88 Aircraft: among others Bf-109 “ROTE 2”.
In 3rd and 2nd JG 52 participant in the Battle of Britain. Shot down on 26.8.1940 between Margate and London over Ramsgate by RAF Squadron No. 54. Then prisoner of war. His decorations: Spanish Cross, Iron Cross 2nd Class, Front Flight Clasp, Cruz de la guerre, La medalla de Campaña.

POW 26 August, 1940 after being shot down over Ramsgate by fighters of RAF No. 54 Sq. shortly after his 2nd victory. He was not injured in the crash landing at Sandwich Golf Club. One known victory, his 1st, a Hawk-75A at Chantilly, 26 May, 1940. His 2nd, a Spitfire at Dover on 26 August, 1940.
