France WWI Adrian Helmet Model 1915 Infantry / Adrian Helmet for Infantry

Circa 1916/17. Privately procured helmet without the corrugated metal sheets typical of mass production inside the helmet to which the liner was attached; here the seven-piece leather liner is attached to four brackets fastened inside the helmet. However, the helmet exhibits the four-piece construction typical of the Adrian Helmet M15. The shell was overpainted olive green on the exterior during the period; underneath, the original horizon blue paint finish is visible. The surface shows fly rust. The flaming grenade badge with the monogram “RF” is affixed to the front. Complete with chin strap. Size approximately 55 (corresponds to size “A”). In uncleaned condition.

The Adrian Helmet M15 was replaced in 1926 by the two-piece Adrian Helmet M26 (skull, front and rear visors manufactured from one piece).

Sehr feine Arbeit in bester Juweliersqualität.
