III. Reich 1933 - 1945

Early production. Very clean blade by the quite rare maker “Carl Jul. Krebs Solingen”, nickel fittings, the crossguard marked “Sw” for SA-Gruppe Südwest, brown wooden grip, the nickel eagle and SA emblem sit perfectly, the steel scabbard still shows remnants of bluing, the scabbard fittings of nickel, worn in very good condition. Condition 2

Early production, clean blade with rare maker “C&R. Linder Solingen-Weyer”, nickel fittings, the paper insert stamped “Wm” for Gebietsgruppe Westmark, the wooden grip is undamaged, cleanly set eagle and SA emblems, the scabbard browned and coated with zapon lacquer. Condition 2

This is a very fine example manufactured by E.&F. Hörster Solingen. All fittings in silver-plated and toned non-ferrous metal, black synthetic grip, clean blade, maker's mark “E.&F. Hörster Solingen”, the scabbard with minor impact marks on the lower half, complete with portepee and hanger. The dagger shows minimal wear and is in fine condition. Very rare, Condition 2

This is a very fine early production by Paul Weyersberg Solingen. The hilt fittings in nickel finish, black grip with applied Postschutz eagle in nickel, crossguard with black enameled swastikas. The underside of the crossguard stamped "1912 DRP". Bright blade with maker mark "Paul Weyersberg Solingen". The black original lacquer finish of the scabbard still 95% intact, nickel-plated fittings, the suspension chain in nickel, the clip has been replaced. Complete with portepee with red interwoven strands. The dagger shows only light wear and is in good condition.

Overall length approximately 200 mm.

Somewhat cleaned blade by maker “Paul Weyersberg & Co Solingen”, new push leather, the crossguard stamped “1136 DRP”, black lacquered swastikas, the wooden grip is undamaged, the scabbard is dent-free, the lacquer still approximately 90% intact, the chain made of nickel. Signs of age and use, but otherwise still in good condition. Condition 2-

Clean blade, maker “E Pack & Söhne Solingen”, nickel fittings, crossguard marked “Nm” for SA-Gruppe Nordmark, reverse side and upper scabbard fitting stamped with SA membership number “47237”, wooden grip undamaged, original emblems intact, blued scabbard with nickel fittings, one screw missing from upper scabbard fitting. Worn, with typical wear and age marks, Condition 2

Clean blade by maker “Paul Weyersberg & Co Solingen”, the point was presumably slightly bent and has been straightened, new push-fit leather, the crossguard not stamped, the sunwheels chipped, the grip with stabilized chip, the scabbard free of dents, the lacquer still approximately 70% intact, signs of age and use, lightly restored, but otherwise still in good condition. Condition 2-

Manufactured circa 1933. Nickel-plated blade with decorative etching on both sides. On the obverse “Gewidmet von der Firma Mohr & Speyer Köln A-G.” with foliate pattern, on the reverse “Bez. Zoll Kom. H. Nord Aachen, I. Preis 1933” (= Bezirks Zoll Kommando Hauptverwaltung Nord Aachen - District Customs Command Main Administration North Aachen), below the ricasso marked with maker “P D L”. Gilt brass hilt with lion's head pommel with red glass eyes, the knuckle bow with oak leaf decoration, the cross-guard with crossed sabers and lances. Steel scabbard with new lacquer finish. Complete with original sword knot for customs officer. Only lightly worn, condition 2+. Very rare.

circa 1938. This saber is one of the famous presentation sabers manufactured by Carl Eickhorn for exhibition purposes.
The hilt fittings made of fire-gilded brass and hand-engraved in Baroque style, the knuckle bow bearing the enameled state coat of arms of the Republic of Latvia. The grip made of turned solid cherrywood. Slightly curved inserted blade of finest Damascus steel, so-called “large roses”. On the reverse with the large blued and gilded company trademark “Carl Eickhorn Solingen”. Overall length 98 cm. Condition 2.
A very impressive piece.

This is a product manufactured by Alcoso, Solingen. The hilt fittings in nickel finish, undamaged mother-of-pearl grip scales, perfectly preserved blade marked on the reverse with the maker's mark “Alcoso ACS Solingen,” the scabbard undamaged, slightly toned, complete with an original portepee. The dagger shows minimal wear, the silver plating is still well preserved. Condition 2.

Very clean blade by maker "Original Eickhorn Solingen", silver-plated non-ferrous metal hilt with undamaged mother-of-pearl grip scales, the scabbard without significant damage. Lightly worn with minor age patina. Condition 2

Slender wedge-shaped blade, of genuine damascus with raised gold etching on both sides: obverse with oak leaves and the presentation inscription “Dem besten Schützen” (To the Best Marksman), reverse also with oak leaf decoration and on the false edge “Echt Damast” (Genuine Damascus), without maker's mark, the quillon block with applied DSV emblem, white plastic grip with crossed rifles, nickel-plated fittings, the leather scabbard flawless. Very fine piece, unworn. Condition 2+

Slightly tarnished but otherwise well-preserved blade by “Karl Burgsmüller Berlin”, the motto still intact, the grip with aluminum fittings, showing minor chipping on the pommel and crossguard and small stress cracks, the crossguard stamped with “NPEA I” for NPEA-School Ilfeld and number “239”, green repainted steel scabbard with minor dents, complete with NPEA belt hanger, a swastika was scratched into the front side by the owner. Worn piece, in good condition. Condition 2 -

Clean blade with motto “Mehr sein als scheinen” (To be more than to seem) and maker's or supplier's mark “Karl Burgsmüller, Berlin-Charlottenburg 5.”, the pommel and crossguard made of aluminum, brown wooden grip is undamaged, blued scabbard is dent-free, the underside of the suspension hook marked with “753”. Worn but still well-preserved NPEA dagger. Condition 2

circa 1933. This is a special commission ordered by the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, manufactured by the firm Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. Heavy lion head pommel with red glass eyes (one glass eye missing), the knuckle guard with oak leaf decoration. On the obverse quillon the Bavarian Lion with sword and shield (uncrowned!), on the reverse quillon the seated panther of the Bavarian State Police. Black synthetic grip with intact wire wrap. The straight blade with fuller of genuine Damascus steel, on the obverse in the center a cartouche with gilded dedication “Dem besten Schützen 1933 - Ehrenpreis des Staatsministeriums des Innern” (To the Best Marksman 1933 - Prize of the State Ministry of the Interior), on the false edge the early maker's mark of the firm Eickhorn, Solingen. On the reverse in the center a cartouche with gilded “Major Schlieper”, on the blade spine the supplier designation “Anton Schweyer, München”. Blackened steel scabbard with suspension ring. Overall length 102 cm. The saber is worn in good untouched original condition.
Peter Schlieper, born August 1, 1884. Promotion to Captain of the Bavarian State Police on May 1, 1929. 1933 promotion to Major and retired.

Nickel-plated, slightly curved blade, on both sides with fuller and etched decorations on both sides, on the obverse with cartouche and etched dedication “Für 50 jährige treue Dienste in der Wehr Neviges.” with floral decoration on the sides. Reverse shows fire hose, axe, ladder and a fire helmet with floral decoration, on the false edge with maker's mark WKC, Solingen. German silver stirrup guard in the form of fusilier sabers, ray skin grip with intact wire wrapping. Leather scabbard with German silver fittings. Worn piece, the leather scabbard somewhat shrunk, the saber can no longer be inserted the last 2 cm, condition 2.

Manufactured by Eickhorn, Solingen. The fittings made of silver-plated non-ferrous metal with beautiful, even patina. The grip scales are made of artificial mother-of-pearl. Cleanly preserved blade with few age-related spots, reverse side with etched manufacturer's logo “Original Eickhorn Solingen”. Undamaged, lightly toned scabbard. Complete with regulation-tied portepee for civil servants and diplomats as well as associated hanger (one snap hook is missing its leaf spring). Minimally worn piece in very good condition.
