Very fine collector's piece, circa 1936. High elegant saddle form, black cloth of finest quality, the cap band of black velvet with silver piping. Silver cap cords with silver-plated buttons. The cap eagle in the Wehrmacht pattern and Death's Head 2nd Model in silver-plated officer's version. Black visor of vulcanized fiber. Interior with light sweatband leather, light silk lining, beneath the damaged celluloid diamond with gold-printed SS runes above the woven SS/RZM cloth label “Vom Reichsführer SS befohlene Ausführung” (execution ordered by the Reichsführer SS), the celluloid is damaged in the lower part. Under the leather sweatband with the large white printed cloth label “SS Dienstmütze, Manufacturer 143, Member number of wearer: SS-Nr. 5328 (handwritten)”, size approximately 59. The visor cap is worn, interior lining with corresponding wear and sweat marks. The visor cap is absolutely untouched, all insignia still originally mounted, overall in very fine condition!
Extremely rare, one of the very few originals. With the Wehrmacht eagle instead of the SS eagle, an interesting variant.
