Ottoman Empire World War I Pilot Badge

This piece is a particularly fine German manufacture by the firm Meybauer, Berlin for a German officer, manufactured in the 1920s. The oak leaf/laurel wreath in gilt base metal execution, the winged wing and the ribbon with the year number tinted in black. Reverse side of the star with the hallmark punch of the firm Meybauer, on broad pin. Lightly worn in very fine condition.

Extremely rare, one of the few originals.
