Oldenburg, circa 1914. Elegant leather helmet in parade quality, complete with all fittings in gilt finish. The Prussian eagle with regulation “Koenig” bandeau, matte gilt with polished edges. On the breast with highly domed 2-piece silver Oldenburg star, silver-plated. Slightly curved scale chin chains, both cockades present. The tall spike is removable. Interior with light brown sweatband and light silk lining, size 56 1/2. The helmet shows only light wear, condition 2+.

Circa 1910. Elegant, lightweight leather helmet, complete with all fittings in gilt finish. Front plate features the star with applied “frosted” silver-plated arms of Oldenburg. Flat scale chin chains on rosettes, right side with Oldenburg state cockade. The plate with star screws, fitted with the distinctive quadruple-fluted “official's spike” with ball finial. Interior with light brown leather sweatband with silk ribbon draw and gold embossing “Awes-Marke”, green silk rep lining with gold embossing “AWS”, front visor lined in green and rear visor lined in red. Handwritten date “27.12.1910” inside the bell. Size approximately 56. In exceptionally fine condition. Condition 2+

Manufactured in 1893. Elegant dark blue-black frock coat with red standing collar, elaborate gold and silver embroidery on collar and cuff flaps, single row of seven gilt buttons bearing the Oldenburg coat of arms. Interior lined with black silk, neck area with tailor's label “Meentzen & Fassbender Bremen”, breast pocket with label “Meentzen & Fassbender, Bremen Herr Finanzrath Buchholz ... 1893”.
Only lightly worn, two small moth holes. Condition 2.

Location Oldenburg circa 1910. Light leather helmet, complete with all fittings in gilt finish. Front features the Prussian line eagle, correctly bearing the motto “Mit Gott für Koenig und Vaterland”, surmounted by the high-domed silvered star with the applied Oldenburg state coat of arms. Domed chin scales on oval scale chains, both cockades present. The spike is removable. Interior with light brown leather sweatband and beige twill lining, the front visor lined in green and the rear visor in red, inside the bell handwritten size “57 ½” and label “Oekonomie Kunstinstitut für galvanische Erneuerung Inh.: E. Lazarus … Berlin …” Lightly worn. Condition 2.
