Brass hilt with simple knuckle bow, folding quillons, grip wrapped with brass wire, straight blade with fullers on both sides, unclear maker. “...Solingen” on the ricasso, leather-covered steel scabbard with three brass mounts, complete with sword knot and hanger, the sword knot of metal thread, the imperial cipher covered with a glazed plaque, worn piece with age marks, otherwise well preserved. Steel hilt with pronounced knuckle bow, wooden grip with shagreen, strongly curved blade like that of a Mamluk saber, steel scabbard with two suspension rings, large domed ring bands, the scabbard throat specially designed so that the blade can also be maintained, used condition with minor age-related wear, attached brass tag with inventory number “1518”. Condition 2

Double-edged blade, nearly lenticular ground, without pronounced central ridge, without visible maker's mark, without hunting etching or engraving, somewhat spotted, darkened brass mounts, straight quillon, rudimentary knuckle guard, carved grip of black wood, dark brown leather scabbard with brass mounts heart-shaped suspension loop, normal signs of age and use. Condition 2-3
