Netherlands Storm Dagger M17

Rhomboid blade, on the false edge, acceptance stamps on the guard ring and pommel, grooved wooden grip with pronounced pommel, “C” stamped on the pommel, underside of the crossguard stamped “7660 C”, brown leather scabbard, carrying loop cut off. A well-preserved piece. Condition 2

After the occupation of Holland by the Wehrmacht, large quantities of these daggers were captured and continued to be carried by the Germans without being specially marked.

Netherlands Royal Navy Sword for Naval Medical Officers

This is a German export manufactured by P. Knecht, Solingen, circa 1840/50. Slender triangular blade with light decorative engravings, on the ricasso marked with the manufacturer's mark “P.G. Knecht Fils”. Gilt brass hilt, the guard featuring a crowned anchor with Aesculapian serpent, mother-of-pearl grip scales. Black leather scabbard with shellac (possibly repaired) and brass mounts. Worn condition, Grade 2-.
