Manufactured from brown velvet cloth, all buttons present. Complete with district triangle "West Westfalen" above HJ sleeve diamond, attached by snap fasteners. Bakelite buttons are marked BDM/JM. Lined interior, with RZM label "BDM Weste" at the neck and owner’s label "T.Geiger" on the inside pocket. Measurements: shoulder width approx. 40 cm, outer sleeve length approx. 55 cm, total length approx. 45 cm. Repair at 3rd buttonhole. Worn, condition 2-3.

BDM/JM “Berchtesgaden Traditional Jacket”
circa 1936. Short black knitted jacket with green/red/green neckline trim, green lacing, and sleeves with 2 green double stripes. Front with 6 buttons. The jacket is in a very small size, for an approximately 6-8 year old girl, probably for a Jungmädel. Lightly worn in good condition.
The Berchtesgaden traditional jacket became part of the official uniform of the BDM in the Bayerisches Hochland region from 1935 onwards. Rarely found.
