Badge in bronzed zinc alloy, diameter 20 mm, reverse numbered with award number 106 on horizontal pin. Matching half-miniature with the same award number 106 on long pin. In cardboard box with noted award number. In good condition, very rare.

Diameter 38mm, engraved “I.Flugpreis für Segelflugmodelle Ausscheidungs-Fliegern Kreis VI” (1st Flight Prize for Glider Models Elimination Competition District VI), the bottom of the case with personal note of the recipient, the lid with vignette of the firm Wolfgang Robert Schwarz in Berlin. Condition 2

From 1930 to 1933, Dr. Meinshausen served as deputy to the Gauleiter of Berlin Joseph Goebbels. Since 1931 he was a Reich speaker of the NSDAP, City School Councilor of Berlin and held additional functions in the NSDAP.

The recipient student attended what is today the Friedrich-Engels-Gymnasium in the Berlin district of Reinickendorf, a secondary school founded in 1905, designated since 1937 as an Oberschule for boys, and from 1938 bore the name of fighter pilot Manfred von Richthofen, which was welcomed by the National Socialists.
