Included are several mounted photographs and a furlough pass of a soldier from the 1st Battery Reserve Flak Searchlight Battalion 308.

The photograph shows Hermann Souchon as commander of Flak Searchlight Battalion 308 of the German Luftwaffe.

Hermann Souchon joined the Freikorps Marine-Brigade Ehrhardt, which was subordinated to the Garde-Kavallerie-Schützen-Division, after the end of World War I. On January 15, 1919, Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht were discovered and arrested by soldiers of a citizens' militia. On the same day, the commander decided to have Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht murdered. During the night of January 15, Rosa Luxemburg was killed with a pistol shot to the head in the vehicle during transport to Moabit by Hermann Souchon. In 1920, Hermann Souchon fled to Finland and returned to Germany in 1935. Adolf Hitler granted him amnesty.
