German Reich Association Saber with Lion Head Pommel

Beautifully gilded brass hilt, lion head pommel without glass eyes, crossed sabers on the quillon block, shagreen grip with slightly damaged wire wrapping, slender blade, slightly curved, with floral etching on both sides and Reich eagle in oval, maker's mark of “Carl Eickhorn Solingen”, nickel-plated steel scabbard with two ring bands of brass, the nickel plating already flaking in places, otherwise a well-preserved piece.
