Austria World War I Aviation Troops Aircraft Panel-Mounted Clock of the K.u.K. Luftfahrttruppen

circa 1917/18. Nickel-plated steel case, diameter 50 mm, steel case with glass cover. The porcelain dial marked “Öster. Ungar. Albatros Fugwerke - Franz Watzl. Wien”, 12-hour division without seconds hand. The clock is mounted in a nickel-plated insertion bracket for aircraft use, hand-wind mechanism at top, below the clock marked “K.u.K. Luftfahrtruppen No. 5326”. Two lateral mounting tabs at bottom for insertion into the bracket in the aircraft cockpit. Total height (with tabs) approximately 10 cm. The clock shows distinct signs of age and use, the dial with small enamel damage on the “1”. The clock is functional and runs, but should be serviced by a master watchmaker. Condition 2-.
