German Order of the German Eagle Set Merit Cross 2nd Class with Breast Star in Presentation Case

Very fine manufacture by the firm Gebr. Godet, Berlin, circa 1939. The neck cross, silver gilt, finely enameled on both sides. Hallmarked “900” silver in the suspension loop. Complete with long tailored neck ribbon. Together with matching breast star, silver, the national eagles gilt, finely enameled. Reverse stamped “900” silver on the broad pin. Complete in large red presentation case with large gilt national eagle and surrounding gold border, interior with black velvet insert and white silk lining with imprint “Orden vom Deutschen Adler, Verdienstkreuz mit Stern”. In very good condition.
