SA Honor Badge for Participants of the “SA Rally Braunschweig October 17-18, 1931”, 1st Pattern
Manufactured from sheet iron, hollow embossed, condition 2.
The 1st pattern was issued in 1931 to participants of the SA rally in Braunschweig. Due to the thin embossing and the free-standing national eagle, many pieces were damaged or broken during wear. For this reason, the 2nd pattern was introduced shortly thereafter. After 1933, the participant badge was added to the official list of honor badges of the NSDAP, was authorized for wear on the uniform, and is also listed and illustrated in the organizational handbook of the NSDAP.
