Prussian Field-Gray Tunic for the Projected Peacetime Uniform Model 1915 for a Lieutenant in Kürassier-Regiment Königin (Pommersches) Nr. 2
Home station Pasewalk, circa 1915. Elegant privately-purchased piece, manufactured from field-gray gabardine cloth in finest officer quality. The high stiff stand-up collar, the collar and cuff slashes in crimson, the lace trim in peacetime quality with crimson piping, the button panel and skirts piped in crimson, nickel-plated buttons. Sewn-in shoulder straps with gilt overlays crown over “L”, crimson secondary color, white cloth backing. Interior lined with field-green cloth. Only minimally worn, very fresh color, unfortunately with some light moth damage, which however does not significantly detract from the overall impression of this outstanding uniform.
Extremely rare, in over 35 years of business this is the first piece we have been able to offer, we are not aware of any other such uniform.
