Prussian Field-Gray Tunic for the Projected Peacetime Uniform Model 1915 for a Lieutenant in Kürassier-Regiment Königin (Pommersches) Nr. 2

Home station Pasewalk, circa 1915. Elegant privately-purchased piece, manufactured from field-gray gabardine cloth in finest officer quality. The high stiff stand-up collar, the collar and cuff slashes in crimson, the lace trim in peacetime quality with crimson piping, the button panel and skirts piped in crimson, nickel-plated buttons. Sewn-in shoulder straps with gilt overlays crown over “L”, crimson secondary color, white cloth backing. Interior lined with field-green cloth. Only minimally worn, very fresh color, unfortunately with some light moth damage, which however does not significantly detract from the overall impression of this outstanding uniform.

Extremely rare, in over 35 years of business this is the first piece we have been able to offer, we are not aware of any other such uniform.

Kingdom of Bavaria World War I Field-Gray Tunic Model 1910 for a Rittmeister in the 3rd Chevau-légers Regiment Herzog Karl Theodor

Home garrison Dieuze. Private property item circa 1915/16. The tunic made of fine field-gray corduroy complete with all components. The fall collar, the cuff flaps and the breast panel for the regiment with rose-colored piping, the side pockets closed with one button as with enlisted men, additionally with two large breast pockets, sewn onto the shoulders the field-gray shoulder straps with the regimental number “3” and rose-colored cloth backing, on the left breast with five loops for orders and decorations. Interior lined with brown silk. Condition 2.

According to information, the tunic comes from the estate of Duke Ludwig Wilhelm in Bavaria.

Preußen 1. Weltkrieg feldgraue Ulanka für einen Rittmeister im Ulanen-Regiment Großherzog Friedrich von Baden (Rheinisches) Nr. 7

Heimatstandort Saarbrücken, um 1915/16. Die Ulanka aus feinem feldgrauen Stoff mit roten Vorstößen und feldgrauen Kronenknöpfen, auf den Schultern eingenäht die Schulterstücke für den Rittmeister mit der Einheitsnummer «7» und gelben Tuchunterlagen. Auf der linken Brust mit neun (!) Schlaufen für Orden/Ehrenzeichen, im Knopfloch das Band für das Eiserne Kreuz 1914, das Kriegsverdienstkreuz Braunschweig und die Felddienst-Auszeichnung Baden. Innen mit olivgrünem Seidenfutter. Sehr schön erhalten. Zustand 2+.

Kingdom of Bavaria WWI Light Field-Gray Tunic Model 1910 for a Rittmeister in the 3. Chevaulegers-Regiment Herzog Karl Theodor

Home garrison Dieuze. Personal property circa 1916/17. The field-gray tunic in a lightweight version made of a linen-like fabric for summer wear, complete with all components. The turn-down collar, the cuff flaps, and the breast panel for the regiment with rose-pink piping, the side pockets closed with a button as with enlisted men, the cuff flaps with extra pockets in front, e.g., for maps, on the shoulders the field-gray shoulder straps introduced in 1916 for the regiment with green and rose-pink secondary colors sewn on. Interior with two breast pockets, the hem with fine blue lining. Condition 2.

A very fine example! In this version with the extra pockets on the sleeves, the double breast pockets inside, the closeable side pockets, and the overall lightweight construction, this is a custom-made piece for a combat-experienced officer. In 1916, the squadrons of the regiment participated in the Battle of the Somme.

Prussian Helmet for an Officer in the Kürassier-Regiment Königin (Pommersches) Nr. 2

Garrison Pasewalk, circa 1910. Elegant helmet in the final pattern. The helmet skull of lightweight nickel-plated sheet iron, complete with all fittings in gilt finish. Front plate with Prussian eagle with embossed bandeau “Hohenfriedberg 4 Juni 1745”. Domed gilt scale chin chains with cloverleaf designs, both cockades in the large pattern for cuirassier officers. Interior with light-colored sweatband and light beige silk grosgrain lining. The front visor lined with brown leather, the neck guard lined with soft fabric. Size approximately 54. Lightly worn, the skull with a thin scratch on the front right, the nickel plating with small pinpoint blemishes in places. Condition 2.
