Prussia Surcoat for the Full Dress Uniform of Enlisted Men of the Gardes du Corps Regiment
Chamber piece circa 1910. Red wool vest with white trim around the perimeter, centered on both sides with the large star of the Order of the Black Eagle with hand-embroidered center in enlisted man's execution, the vest fastening with hooks on the left shoulder and side. Interior with linen lining. Condition 2.
Very rare, offered by us for the first time in years.
The surcoat was worn by honor guards from the Gardes du Corps Regiment detailed for festive occasions. Only with this uniform belonged also the gorget and the special white bandolier with the large white cartridge box.
