Oak Leaves to the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross 1939 in Presentation Case

This is the 1st pattern manufactured by Gebr. Godet und Co. Berlin. Particularly fine execution in silver, reverse stamped on left “900”, on right “SILBER” over “L/50”. The piece retains most of its original matte silver plating. Lightly worn, in good condition. Complete in early original presentation case with original neck ribbon section, length 29.5 cm.

The pieces bearing the L/50 hallmark, which were only issued until mid-1943 at the latest, are of great rarity.

The value of the L/50 pieces is therefore greatly underestimated and should be several times that of the much more common examples bearing the “21” hallmark.

Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross 1939 - C. E. Juncker, Berlin

The blackened core is non-magnetic, the frame is made of nickel silver, the suspension loop in the typical Juncker production style, stamped "800" silver on the reverse. Worn piece on long original assembled neck ribbon, length 20 cm. A piece with beautiful patina and great presence.
This piece is the identical production of the Knight's Cross which was awarded to Generalfeldmarschall v. Brauchitsch on September 30, 1939.
