Kingdom of Saxony Czapka for Parade Dress for Officers of the 3rd Uhlan Regiment No. 21 Kaiser Wilhelm II, King of Prussia
Stationed in Chemnitz circa 1910. Elegant leather czapka of fine officer quality, complete with all fittings. Front features large silver-plated star with applied gilt coat of arms of the Kingdom of Saxony, silver scale chains on silver rosettes, Reich cockade on right side. With light blue parade trim, chin strap, white parade plume of buffalo hair, and field insignia. Interior with dark brown leather sweatband and mustard yellow silk grosgrain lining, handwritten name “Werner” inside the crown, as well as a stamp “Sammlung D. Feibig”, factory-sealed holes in the crown from period of manufacture. Size 58. Condition 2.
