Circa 1900. Elegant leather helmet, complete with all fittings in gilt finish. Large Guard eagle with high-domed silvered star of the Order of the Black Eagle, the center finely enameled. Domed scale chains, both cockades. Cross-shaped base fitting with tall fluted socket and black/white parade feather plume. Interior with brown sweatband and beige silk twill lining. Size approximately 55. Accompanied by the fluted spike. With the original helmet case. The lining shows wear from use, the feathers somewhat aged. The case slightly damaged. Worn helmet, condition 2. The feather plume unfortunately in condition 3.

Karlsruhe, circa 1910. Elegant leather helmet, complete with all fittings in “frosted” silver-plated finish with polished edges. Front helmet plate features the Baden griffin with the highly domed star of the House Order of Fidelity, finely enameled and gilt. Flat gilt chin scales on silver rosettes, both cockades present. Silver top plate with gilt star screws. Complete with tall elegant funnel and white parade plume of buffalo hair. Includes the matching service spike for daily duty. Interior with brown sweatband, light silk lining, size approximately 55. Only lightly worn in beautiful condition.

Peacetime garrison Bamberg. Circa 1916. Leather czapka, complete with all fittings in prewar quality brass, partly gilt. Front bears the Bavarian helmet emblem, centrally applied reserve cross. Domed scale chains on rosettes, right side with Reich cockade. The crown of blackened sheet iron, detachable with bayonet fastener (introduced in Bavaria only in 1916), complete with crimson parade trim, blue and white parade plume for non-commissioned officers, field insignia and sword knot. The czapka interior with finely laced leather lining. Size 54. Condition 2.
