Prussian Helmet in Deluxe Quality for Officers of the Leib-Kürassier-Regiment Großer Kurfürst (Schlesisches) Nr. 1

Stationed in Breslau circa 1914. Elegant helmet in the final pattern, complete with all fittings in gilt finish. The helmet skull and spike made of lightweight nickel-plated sheet metal, non-magnetic (!), the front and rear visors made of nickel-plated iron sheet metal. Front features the flying eagle introduced on July 1, 1902, with the bandeau “Pro Gloria et Patria”, fire-gilt with polished edges. Special gilt flat scale chin chains with edge stamping on screws, both cockades in the distinctive “Alt-Hessian” form. Interior with light brown leather sweatband and green silk grosgrain lining, the front visor lined with green leather, the rear visor lined with black velvet. Size approximately 59. Only very lightly worn in exceptionally fine condition!

One of the very few originals in fine state of preservation! The highlight for any helmet collection.

Prussian Model 1905 Helmet for an Officer of the Mounted Jäger Regiments No. 1 - 6

Elegant helmet circa 1914. The helmet shell of nickel-plated steel in the final, particularly elegant version. Complete with all fittings in silver-plated finish. Tall removable spike, silver-plated dragoon eagle. Domed gilt scale chains on cloverleaves and the large officer cockades, stepped front visor. Interior with light brown leather sweatband, yellow silk rep lining, the front visor lined with dark green leather, the neck guard with velvet lining. Size 58. The helmet shows light wear, the lining with typical traces of use. Condition 2. A very rare and attractive helmet.

Prussian Helmet for Officers of the Regiment Garde du Corps or Garde-Kürassier-Regiment

Elegant helmet circa 1900. The helmet made of tombac sheet metal, the skull and front visor gilt, with silvered mountings, the skull with a few minor dents from wear. The helmet plate features the large silver Garde star with finely enameled medallion, a hairline crack in the enamel at the top. Convex gilt scale chains on cloverleaf bosses with brass slotted screws. On both sides with the large officer cockades, stepped front visor. Complete with the finely chased and “frosted” silvered parade eagle, the silvering approximately 50% preserved, the gilt royal crown screwed on top. Interior with light brown leather sweatband with silk ribbon pull-through, the sweatband damaged, light beige silk lining with minor signs of wear. The front visor with green leather lining, approximately 60% preserved, the rear visor with white lining, also with minor signs of wear. Size 53. Also included is the spike for the helmet. A worn but overall well-preserved helmet of a veteran officer in the Regiment Garde du Corps or Garde-Kürassier-Regiment. Condition 2.
