Circa 1890. Black lacquered sheet iron helmet with brass fittings, complete with all attachments. Front features the large double-headed eagle with the monogram “FJI”. Large gilt scale chains on rosettes with brass screws, high comb. Interior with laminated leather liner, front visor green, rear neck guard black lacquered. Size 55. Very fine condition. Condition 2.

Home garrison Nürnberg. Chamber piece 1916. Leather helmet, complete with all fittings in field gray iron. Large helmet plate, original leather chinstrap, both cockades. Cruciform base, the spike with bayonet lock, removable. Squared front visor. Interior with tabbed leather lining, in the rear visor chamber stamp “8.Fd.A.R.”, in the skull the stamp “147 B.D. III 1916”. With camouflage cover, stamped inside “3 200 B.D.III. 1918”. Size approximately 56. Condition 2.

Bavaria World War I Ersatz Pickelhaube Made of Felt for Enlisted Men in the 7th Infantry Regiment Prinz Leopold

Home garrison Bayreuth, circa 1916. Ersatz helmet made of felt, complete with all fittings. Front features the Bavarian coat of arms in the small version introduced in 1916, original chin strap attached to button 91, both cockades present. Interior with laced leather liner, handwritten owner's name “Elser”, neck guard with fine unit stamp “7.I.R.”. Size 59. Condition 2.

A Pickelhaube in this large head size is extremely rare to find.

Chamber piece, circa 1915. Blued steel shell, complete with all fittings. Front features the dragoon eagle. Original leather chin strap on button 91, both cockades in large size. Spike removable with bayonet lock mechanism. Interior with laced leather liner, front visor green, rear neck guard black lacquered. Inside the shell marked by maker “Otto Nachtigall Berlin 1915”. Size approximately 56. The helmet shows only light wear, condition 2.

Bavarian Helmet Model 1842 for Enlisted Men of the Cuirassiers from the Period of the Franco-Prussian War

Heavy display piece in the wear configuration from 1864 to 1879 with steel skull and tall brass comb with horsehair crest. On the front the royal monogram “L” (King Ludwig II). The scale chin chains on lion head mounts, left side with repainted Bavarian cockade. The interior liner is unfortunately not preserved. The skull cleaned. The lower segment of the neck guard is missing (!), the preserved segment drilled for wall mounting. The crest with paint remnants. Condition 3
