Prussian Parade Cuirass with Parade Bandolier and Cartridge Box for Officers of the Leib-Kürassier-Regiment Großer Kurfürst (Schlesisches) Nr. 1

Breslau, circa 1910. Parade cuirass for officers of the Leib-Kürassier-Regiment Großer Kurfürst (Schlesisches) Nr. 1. Front and back plate of nickel-plated steel sheet with gilt edging and nickel-plated rivets. Gilt scale chains, clasps with applied oak leaf decorations, on the shoulders with silvered lion heads. Complete with the original belly strap of black leather with gilt clasp. Interior with the original quilted silk lining, at the arms and neck the black and white cuffs. Screwed onto the chest the overlay of the neck ring: the gilt military trophies with the medallion hand-painted and finely enameled. Together with the matching parade bandolier. The cartridge box of black patent leather with the special gilt overlay. The bandolier with gold braid, on black cloth backing, with gilt fittings. Also included the original neck ring with 4 holes for attaching the trophy shield, when the neck ring was worn with full dress and service uniform. The carrying chain, however, has been replaced.

Superbly preserved untouched officer's cuirass in elegant form circa 1910.
Extremely rare, only very few complete ensembles are known worldwide!

Prussian Helmet for Officers of the Leib-Kürassier-Regiment Großer Kurfürst (Schlesisches) Nr. 1

Breslau, circa 1910. Elegant helmet in the final pattern. The helmet shell of lightweight nickel-plated sheet iron, complete with all fittings in gilt finish. On the front, the flying eagle introduced on July 1, 1902, with the bandeau “Pro Gloria et Patria,” fire-gilt with polished edges. Special gilt flat scale chains with edge stamping on screws, both cockades in the distinctive “Old Hessian” form. Interior with brown sweatband and light silk lining. The front visor lined with green leather, the rear visor lined with black velvet. Size approximately 58. The helmet is lightly worn and in very fine condition.
One of the very few originals in fine state of preservation! The highlight for any helmet collection.
